Our Impact
We do more than our part...
The Trice Legacy Foundation is a volunteer organization founded by George Trice, a member of the Trice family.
While not affiliated with Iowa State University or the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, the Trice Legacy Foundation works with both on programming that honors the legacy of Jack Trice.
To date, the Trice Legacy Foundation has awarded 6 scholarships, 8
technology grants (laptops) and given various other awards.

Trice Legacy Foundation Scholarship
The Trice Legacy Foundation Scholarship honors the courage, character, and enduring legacy of Jack Trice.
As part of the application process, each student is asked to read Jack’s letter — written the night before he took the field in 1923 — and reflect on what it means to them. Applicants must share how his words about courage, preparation, and purpose will shape their own journey.
We are not simply awarding financial support. We are investing in students who demonstrate leadership, resilience, integrity, and a commitment to building their own legacy.
Jack Trice began something larger than himself.
Our scholars continue it.
